It is our greatest hope that all of our passengers enjoy the time they spend with us. Our aim is to provide an interesting and informative tour of our bay and their inhabitants. A combination of our local knowledge, experience, educated guesswork, and luck allows most of our guests a chance to see wildlife, however unpredictability is a part of our business. If your expectations exceed these natural limitations, then perhaps you should reconsider wildlife viewing in a natural setting. The animals we watch are WILD, therefore we cannot guarantee sightings on 100% of our trips. However, on any trip that does not sight the specific animal we’re targeting, we will issue our passengers a “RETRIP VOUCHER”. These guarantees have NO EXPIRY DATE and will be reissued as many times as it takes for you to sight the animal you were looking for.

PREMIUM CRUISE are our “Close Encounters”
From July to January during our official whale watching season.
Whales are approached to 50m and then whales can move closer to the boat. Only permitted boats may approach whales to this distance, all other sea vessels must maintain a 300m distance from the whales.
RATES: Adults (13yrs +): R650 Child (4yrs to 12yrs): R350 Child (3yrs and under): Free
DURATION: 1.5 hours, max 2 hours, trip times can vary slightly due to travelling distances and sightings.
DEPARTURE TIMES: 9H30 / 12H00 / 14H30 (early morning and afternoon trips by arrangement)
PASSENGERS ARE REQUIRED TO BE AT OUR PREMISES 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO LAUNCH TIME.
DISCOVERY CRUISE are our “Marine cruises”
These cruises are operated throughout the year and involve a round trip of the bay where we view all marine species that are visiting the bay. Discovery cruises do not have a close encounter permit so sightings of whales on this trip are done at 300m.

SEAL AND BAY DISCOVERY CRUISE:
Operated throughout the year.
We visit the Cape Fur seal colony at Robberg Nature Reserve. This trip has various stopping points of interest where relevant information will be shared with the passengers.
